Our team’s vision focuses squarely on practical approaches to researching and addressing social and health inequities, primarily in the context of minoritized populations in the United States. We conduct research using a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods, often pursued through Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), an equity-focused style of research that includes research populations in the process of conceiving, designing, and conducting research. With this in mind, our “work” is actually two different things–research and outreach. Our team considers these to be two distinct and necessary exercises for substantive engagement with underserved populations.
