my bio
Aalayna Green is a PhD student in Natural Resources & the Environment at Cornell University. Aalayna is passionate about exploring the global manifestations of environmental justice in both theory and practice. Her primary scholarship centers on the gendered dimensions of militarized conservation in the Kavango-Zambezi (KaZa) Transfrontier Conservation Area. Within ReLateral, Aalayna focuses on the experiences of Black women, particularly Black mothers, during and post the Flint Water Crisis. Outside of research, Aalayna is a carnivorous reader, aficionado of snickerdoodle lattes, and enjoyer of long walks through Ithaca's many forests.
