ReLateral in A Nutshell

Founded in 2021, Research Lateral, or "ReLateral," is a multidisciplinary and multicultural space at University of California Berkeley that's focused on research and practice in the social and health sciences. Unlike a traditional lab, we focus on the purposefulness found in generating genuinely inclusive spaces--people from different backgrounds, academic and non-academic. This orientation also translates to how we approach relationship formation and scholarship. Operating through the vehicle of public sociology, ReLateral's is 100% applied, with an emphasis on community capacity-building, result dissemination, and policy advocacy.
